I am an accomplished web developer who is passionate about the Internet, Web standards, and learning new technologies. I have a background in graphic design and advertising reaching back to the 1980s as well as over 13 years of experience working in Web design and development. My methodology is user-centered, and includes the terms web standards, semantic, responsive, unobtrusive, mobile first, device agnostic, and progressive enhancement.
Website design and development from conceptualization through maintenance, including branding, page layout development, navigation, copywriting, image optimization, database design, cross browser/operating system testing, and search engine optimization (SEO) for a variety of small and large businesses. In addition, hosting tech support and domain management as a value added reseller of hosting and domain services.
Full-time developer working as a member of the Web Scrum team to iterate the numerous Web properties of GreatCall including weekly marketing updates and general site maintenance. Technologies used include .NET, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Twitter Bootstrap, LESS, and GIT using an Agile methodology.
Contract position tasked to maintain current website, create landing pages, and initiate framework for Version 3 of GreatCall.com using HTML5 Boilerplate and LESS.
Contracted for website design and/or redesign and development for a number of companies within the Bio-technology industry. The latest project was a completely web-based medical study (one of the first of its kind) done ”mobile first“ using server-side PHP and MySQL with an HTML5 Boilerplate front-end.
Assisted in the servicing of a number of clients within the Records and Information Management (RIM) industry, including website maintenance, optimization, some design, and Wordpress skinning.
Brought in to assist with front-end development for Jitterbug.com and GreatCall.com. Became part of the team to launch the new GreatCall brand, which included site development for Version 1 from start to finish.
For Intuit, Inc.: Seasonal member of the Web Development team doing front-end development for TurboTax.com. Projects included the development of landing pages linked to television and email direct response campaigns, home page and landing page A/B tests, and general website maintenance for TurboTax.com.
For Digitaria Interactive, Inc.: Member of team responsible for developing websites for NBC Universal’s fall line-up. Websites worked on included Kath & Kim and The Biggest Loser. Following Digitaria’s established development standards and coding conventions, and working from Photoshop layout images, created new Web pages with HTML, CSS, and Photoshop slices to match the existing NBC.com format.
